Why You Should Create Multiple Streams of Income NOW! (2 minute read)

In today's economy, it's more important than ever to have multiple streams of income. One job lost is not as intense or immediate a problem when you have 2 or 3 other functioning ways to earn money. One job lost when all you have is one way to earn money ….is a very big, immediate and intense problem. The ripple effect of lost income is huge when looking down the road 20 years and see that compounding of funds has lost a great chunk along the way because income came to a complete stop.

The Benefits of Multiple Streams of Income

There are many benefits to having multiple streams of income. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is that it helps to ensure that you will always have some form of income, even if one stream dries up. But there are other benefits as well, such as:

1. You can weather financial storms more easily.

2. You can save more money because you have more money coming in.

3. You can retire sooner because you have more money coming in.

4. You can live a better life because YOU HAVE MORE MONEY COMING IN!

5. You can give more to charity.

6. You can invest more.

P.S. Bonus points for making the benefits package(s) of each income source work well together. One of my dear friend was working part time for an airline (flight benefits PLUS medical/vision/dental/401k), as well as part-time for a hotel (hotel benefits for the full chain of hotels under that umbrella), all because he wanted to travel the world with his wife at a low cost. It’s your life. Build it however you most want it to be lived.
